CEO - Aquatics Empowered
Troy Derheim came to Fargo, ND in 1991 after deployment in Iraq during Operation Desert Storm and an honorable discharge from the US Army. Troy, a native of Minot, ND, returned to the state pursuing his bachelor’s degree in Construction Management. During his college years he started a part-time business called Tubs of Fun! which grew into the full-time entity My Aquatic Services of today. In addition to his time at NDSU Troy retuned to college in 1998 and earned a Business Management degree from the University of Mary.
My Aquatic Services is a specialty aquatic development company for the pool, spa, and aquatic industry. Over the course of 28 years Troy’s companies have earned APSP Region 5 Award of Excellence 2006-2012. In 2005 his company was awarded Aqua 100 winner, voted as Americas top 100 pool stores and continued to earn the award annually until being inducted into the Aqua national pool dealers “Hall of Fame” in 2009.
Most recently My Aquatic Services earned the award of being number 30 on the list of Americas Top 50 Pool and Spa Service Companies. My Aquatic Services just moved their retail location to Moorhead and continues to build on provide the best aquatic service in the region. Troy has now focused his attention on his non-profit Aquatics Empowered which will help rural communities across America develop, build, and maintain aquatic facilities. The mission is to make sure no individual misses the joy and healing abilities of water.
Troy’s Current positions:
Executive Director: Aquatics Empowered, Connecting people to water. The primary focus is finding aquatic resources for rural communities. Additional programs are help all individuals with disabilities, provide all aquatic therapy, make sure all individuals can experience the joy and healing abilities of water.
National Sales Manager: My Aquatic Services, Specializing in unique aquatic therapy and aquatic construction needs. The company designs, builds, and services swimming pools, swim spas, aquatic therapy environments for both residential and commercial needs. This is the company you call when you are faced with special needs for your aquatic facility. If we don’t have what you need, we will find it. We have saved small communities, hotels, and aquatic facilities all over the region hundreds of thousands of dollars on new and innovative designs. We would love you to challenge us with a unique project!!
President: Healthcare Empowered, A strategic company implementing a success strategy for healthcare associates increasing both revenue and quality of patient care. This is achieved by providing CEO services, billing guidance, ancillary products and marketing services. We help independent clinics succeed in today’s challenging market.
CEO: Tadrei, A development company investing in and developing disparaged communities and properties. We buy real estate, rehab, wholesale, and rehabilitate distressed properties. Our mission is to rebuild communities one house at time changing people’s lives daily.
Board Member: LSHS Clay Target Team, we participate as a team in the Minnesota State High School Clay Target League (MSHSCTL). Our team is officially sanctioned by the high school, and eligibility extends to high school and middle school students who are, or will be, students at Lakeville South High School. We encourage both boys and girls to participate in the team.
Troy Derheim is a hard-working positive individual who loves a challenge. His life’s ambition is to enhance the lives of others by increasing their quality of life.
